Low Calling Rates as SIPfoundry and Skype for SIP collaborate together.

SIPfoundry an Open Source telephony community has announced its sipXecs product is to be operated with Skype for SIP. At present they are testing the new product as a beta program. This new inter-operating product from SIPfoundry and Skype promises to reduce the cost of VoIP calling. This reduction in the cost is possible as outbound calls can be made through the sipXecs client using credits from Skype.

With this collaboration, Skype shows its dedication to reduce the cost to its customers.

Martin J. Steinmann on of the directors if SIPfoundry said that With this new inter-operating system of Skype for SIP it is now easy to deploy sipXecs IP PBX solution to route their outbound calls via Skype.
This surely comes as a good news for the companies who are already using sipXecs IP PBX system as now they can also be benefited from Skype for SIP offers, This in turn will drastically reduce the calling charges for the companies.
