Free International Calls by Callarc.com
I have been asked for an improved alternative through email by many readers after the closure of 1-800-free-411 and it appears that their answer is round the corner.
And their answer is Callarc, a new free international calls service. Callarc enables you to make free international calls via your iphone/smartphones/android or via their website-‘callarc.com’ or via access numbers.
As Callarc is yet to be launched fully, you need to register first on callarc.com and await their invitation. You can also make calls using the facebook application of Callarc.
It is declared by Callarc that one can all anywhere in the world through them, but I doubt whether high cost destinations like Phillipines or UK mobile would be connected by them. Although till now things are not fully clear, it is hoped that one would be able to test callarc system without much delay.
Basically Callarc is a Phone to Phone service where you can make a call via web or other mediums but it is not a web based free international call service.
Nonetheless I am eagerly awaiting Callarc and suggest others to be on the lookout for this new free international call service.
